Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Auditing Clerk to join our client on a contract basis in Delaware, Ohio. In this role, you will assist with preparing and organizing audit materials, ensuring smooth collaboration with auditors. This position requires familiarity with financial documents, such as balance sheets and aging reports, as well as proficiency in advanced Excel functions.

Job Responsibility

  • Gather and organize audit materials for submission to auditors
  • Review and interpret balance sheets and accounts payable aging reports
  • Identify and compile subsequent disbursements for audit purposes
  • Utilize advanced Excel features, including macros, to streamline data analysis
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining audit-related financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and corporate accounting guidelines during audits
  • Communicate effectively with auditors and internal teams to address inquiries
  • Support audit activities by verifying accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of financial documents, including balance sheets and aging reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as macros
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication abilities to collaborate with auditors and team members
  • Familiarity with corporate accounting principles and US GAAP standards
  • Previous experience in audit preparation or financial reporting is a plus
