Job Description

We are looking for an Auditing Clerk to support audit activities for a growing organization in Barstow, California. This role is well suited for someone who is organized, thorough, and comfortable working with financial records and compliance-related documentation. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to audit engagements, collaborate with clients and internal teams, and help maintain accurate reporting throughout the review process.

Job Responsibility

  • Support audit engagements by examining financial statements, invoices, ledgers, and related documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare working papers, reconciliations, and summary reports that help the audit team evaluate financial activity and findings
  • Analyze data using Microsoft Excel and other Office tools to organize records and identify discrepancies or unusual trends
  • Coordinate with clients and team members to gather required information, clarify documentation, and communicate audit-related updates
  • Participate in on-site audit assignments by traveling with the audit team to client locations as needed
  • Help ensure audit procedures and documentation align with applicable regulations, policies, and reporting standards
  • Assist in drafting audit reports and presenting findings in a clear, thorough manner
  • Maintain organized audit files and support the timely completion of assigned reviews and follow-up tasks

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in auditing, audit support, or a closely related accounting function
  • Working knowledge of financial record review, audit documentation, and compliance-focused processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prepare audit reports, reconciliations, and written summaries with strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain findings clearly and professionally
  • Familiarity with operational audits, tax audits, and general audit functions is preferred
  • Experience handling documentation that requires accuracy, confidentiality, and organized recordkeeping
