We are looking for an experienced Audit Senior Associate to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will provide leadership and oversight for audit engagements, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering exceptional service to clients. Job Responsibility:
Lead audit engagements by managing project timelines, budgets, and team assignments
Review and prepare workpapers to ensure accuracy and compliance
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations during audits
Conduct research and planning based on current laws and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Develop expertise in specialized areas of the firm’s practice
Supervise and mentor Associates and In-Charge Associates, supporting growth focused on attention to detail
Manage multiple audit jobs simultaneously, ensuring quality outcomes
Collaborate on proposals and contribute to practice development and marketing initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
At least 4 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on audits
CPA designation or eligibility is highly desired
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with audit-related software such as ProSystems or Engagement
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to supervise and train entry-level staff effectively
Commitment to staying current through continuing education and ongoing reading in the field
Ability to interact with clients and build strong relationships
