Job Description:

The firm is seeking an ambitious and experienced Audit Semi-Senior to join their dynamic team. This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing a blend of office and remote working. The ideal candidate will be someone currently in their training contract, with at least 18 months of experience in an audit-focused role. While ACA training is not required, the firm is open to candidates who are pursuing the ACCA qualification, which can offer more flexibility in terms of study and exam schedules.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and deliver a portfolio of audit clients, ensuring compliance with accounting and auditing standards
  • Plan and execute audits from start to finish, including preparation of financial statements
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance on audit processes and client interactions
  • Liaise with clients to discuss issues arising during audits and deliver appropriate solutions
  • Work collaboratively with the wider audit team to meet deadlines and client expectations
  • Support the senior team in the preparation of financial statements and other client deliverables
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting and auditing standards

Requirements:

  • At least 18 months of experience in an audit role (preferably in a semi-senior position or equivalent)
  • A strong understanding of audit procedures and financial reporting
  • Progressing in your ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification (ACCA is preferred)
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships
  • Good organizational and time management skills
