Job Description

The Audit Intern is responsible for assisting in the completion of attest engagements, including agreed-upon procedures, compilations, reviews, audits, and other accounting projects. The Audit Intern works under the supervision of Managers or Shareholders. Job Responsibility

  • Perform analytical procedures and substantive testing of financial accounts
  • Prepare workpapers and document findings in accordance with firm standards
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of audit fieldwork under senior supervision
  • Support the preparation of client financial statements, including footnote disclosures
  • Attend training and stay informed on current accounting, auditing, and regulatory developments (e.g., GAAS, GAAP, Uniform Guidance)
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of information related to client, staff, and firm’s internal operations during and after employment with JCCS
  • Perform other duties, responsibilities and activities as assigned

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an Accounting program from an accredited university, or related field of study preferred
  • Accounting experience and/or internship experience preferred
  • None licenses/certifications
  • Actively seeks to improve knowledge and experience by increasing professional credentials/certifications in specialized areas
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to work as a team member and under close supervision of other accounting staff
  • Must provide excellent and timely client service at all times
  • General knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting field
  • Proficiency with technology, AI tools and research
  • Ability to problem-solve and think critically
  • Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Embraces teamwork with and between service lines
