As an Audit Data Analyst, you are a member of the Group Internal Audit (GIA) Data Analytics team in Bendern. The team delivers data analytics products and solutions to the global GIA organization, such as audit-specific analyses, reusable dashboards and fast ad-hoc evaluations. It is responsible for BI capabilities for internal auditors, as well as advanced data analytics and select AI solutions within GIA. We are looking for a junior to mid-level profile who enjoys helping to shape data-driven exams in practice
Job Responsibility:
Work closely with audit teams to identify risks, connect data sources, and develop data-driven testing approaches
Design, development and ongoing maintenance of audit dashboards to support risk-oriented audit planning and execution as well as for other analysis purposes (e.g. ad-hoc evaluations and management reporting)
Carrying out exploratory and targeted data analyses for audit assignments (e.g. transaction and master data analyses, sample selection, anomaly detection) and actively participating in the planning and implementation of audits
Support in the construction, maintenance and further development of GIA's BI landscape as well as in the use of solutions provided by IT
Collaboration on advanced analytics and AI use cases for GIA, e.g. AI-supported assistants or agents to support the review process
Contact person for auditors and selected departments on data analytics and AI as well as support in the integration of data-driven audit approaches
Promoting data literacy through training, 1:1 sessions and audit-specific analyses as well as scaling new data analytics and AI approaches from pilot projects to widespread use
Requirements:
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Informatics or a comparable degree
alternatively relevant professional experience in the field of data analysis, IT, auditing or banking
Experience in audit, risk, fraud, controlling or compliance is an advantage
Knowledge of the banking or private banking environment is desirable
Strong analytical skills and enjoyment of preparing, validating and evaluating large data sets in a structured way
Knowledge of data analysis tools and BI solutions (e.g. Power BI)
Experience in building dashboards and reports is an advantage
Good knowledge of working with databases and query languages (e.g. SQL)
Programming skills in Python or related languages, as well as Git and GitLab
Basic understanding and interest in generative AI (LLMs, agents) and traditional machine learning (supervised, unsupervised, NLP) and willingness to apply them in an audit context in a targeted manner
Very good knowledge of German and English as well as the ability to work on several tasks at the same time and to find one's way in a dynamic environment
Nice to have:
Experience in audit, risk, fraud, controlling or compliance is an advantage
Knowledge of the banking or private banking environment is desirable
Experience in building dashboards and reports is an advantage
