Job Description

We are looking for an Audit Capability Project Manager to join our client on a 6-month contract. This is a great opportunity to join the UK's largest retail network. You will be required to lead a large-scale data migration programme within a complex, regulated environment. The role is delivery-focused, owning end-to-end project outcomes across business and technology teams, ensuring scope, time, cost and quality are effectively managed. Strong, demonstrable experience delivering enterprise-scale data migrations is essential.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and deliver large-scale data migration projects end to end
  • Own project scope, plans, milestones, risks, dependencies and benefits
  • Manage the full data migration lifecycle including data discovery, mapping, cleansing, validation, cutover and stabilisation
  • Lead cross-functional teams and third-party suppliers, holding them accountable for delivery
  • Manage project governance, RAID, reporting and financial control
  • Provide clear, concise updates to senior stakeholders to enable effective decision-making
  • Ensure delivery aligns with change governance, regulatory and contractual requirements

Requirements

  • Proven contractor experience delivering complex, large-scale data migration projects
  • Strong Project Management background within transformation programmes
  • Experience managing cloud data migration projects, including AWS migration
  • Excellent senior stakeholder and supplier management skills
  • Experience operating in regulated or public-sector environments
  • Strong risk, budget and dependency management capability
  • Delivery-focused, pragmatic, able to mobilise quickly
  • Data Management or Data Governance training
  • Experience in financial services, government, postal/logistics, or large transformation programmes
  • PRINCE2 (Practitioner or equivalent)
  • Agile delivery experience
  • ITIL Foundation (for operational handover)
