Job Description

Wilke CPAs & Advisors, LLP is seeking an Audit & Assurance Manager with a strong background in auditing, financial reporting, and client advisory. The candidate will manage attest engagements across industries such as manufacturing, distribution, business services, and nonprofits while driving improvements in internal controls, compliance, and overall operational efficiency. The successful Audit & Assurance Manager will collaborate with firm leadership, participate in planning, lead key audit testing areas to ensure the timely completion of working papers, and deliver impactful client presentations.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage attest engagements for diverse clients
  • Participate in engagement planning to identify key risk areas
  • Manage audit testing areas to ensure working papers are completed timely
  • Communicate with clients to assess accounting processes, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
  • Participate in management presentations of engagement results
  • Provide advisory services for internal controls, fraud investigations, and cash flow analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in audit or assurance
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and governmental accounting/auditing standards
  • Ability to work independently with support from colleagues
  • Capability to manage multiple engagements while meeting client expectations
  • Strong work ethic, professional demeanor, and a client-focused approach as the primary contact

Nice to have

  • Experience with QuickBooks and Sage Software
  • CPA license or eligibility
