A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join a respected professional services firm in Poole. This role is ideal for an ACA or ACCA-qualified auditor with strong experience in external audit, statutory audit, audit and assurance, audit planning, risk-based auditing, audit testing and leading audit teams. Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage audit assignments from planning through to completion
Oversee fieldwork, review working papers and ensure audit files meet regulatory standards
Prepare and review statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP
Conduct risk assessments, audit planning, audit testing and technical reviews
Support clients across multiple sectors, including SMEs, OMBs, charities and larger corporate groups
Present audit findings and recommendations to clients and senior stakeholders
Supervise, mentor and develop junior and mid-level audit team members
Ensure compliance with audit regulations, ISA standards and internal quality processes
Identify opportunities to add value and contribute to business development
Requirements:
ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
Strong experience in external audit within practice
Excellent understanding of UK GAAP, ISA standards, audit methodology and audit compliance
Confident leading audit assignments and reviewing technical work
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to deliver clear, practical advice to clients and management teams
Proactive, organised and comfortable working to deadlines
