Job Description

Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established firm who's looking to expand their current team. You will be required to provide high quality audit services to a wide range of clients, with the ability to undertake Accounting work.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and complete statutory audits from planning through to finalisation
  • Prepare and review audit planning documents, risk assessments, and testing strategies
  • Conduct fieldwork, liaising with clients on-site and remotely
  • Draft audit reports and ensure compliance with auditing standards and firm procedures
  • Identify and communicate audit findings, technical issues, and opportunities for improvements
  • Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and relevant regulations
  • Prepare management accounts
  • Conduct bookkeeping and VAT returns
  • Prepare and review corporate tax computations
  • Staff Supervision & Development
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients during assignments
  • Build trusted client relationships by delivering reliable, efficient service
  • Identify additional service needs and flag opportunities to senior management

Requirements

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or finalist with significant experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in audit and accounts within a UK accountancy practice
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards
  • Competent in using accounting software (experience with CCH, ProAudit, Sage, Xero is advantageous but not essential)
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments
  • Confident communicator, both with clients and colleagues
