Job Responsibility:

Works on engagements, to include financial statement audits, reviews, compilations, agreed-upon procedures, and other process as assigned by audit supervisors/managers
Performs detailed audit procedures on financial statement account balances and prepares effective and clear work papers
Develops an understanding of the accounting and auditing principles relevant to individual client engagements
Participates in engagement planning process
Anticipates problem areas of engagement and questions that will arise
Assists with complicated segments of audit and accounting engagements
Proficient in preparing financial statements using the firm’s software programs
Communicates to supervisor all important developments on engagement and analyzes problems and recommends solution
Maintains general knowledge of economic and political trends of possible tax or other legislation that could affect business client

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
advanced degree preferred
1 to 3 years of Audit experience at a public accounting firm
CPA or working towards CPA strongly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and accounting software applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management and organization skills
