Job Responsibility

  • Become familiar with the firm’s policies and procedures
  • Understand the rules, regulations and code of conduct of the AICPA
  • Progress professionally by working towards passing the CPA exam
  • When assigned to financial statement engagements: Become familiar with FASB and AICPA pronouncements
  • Become proficient at preparing financial statements
  • Obtain exposure on the types of financial statement engagements offered by the firm
  • Assume responsibility for completion of compilations and review of financial statements
  • Perform audits of financial statements in accordance with professional and firm standards under supervision
  • Communicate with clients and firm personnel in a timely and professional manner
  • Flexibility to assist the Tax Department as needed during Tax season

Requirements

  • Accounting majors completing degree by December 2024 or May 2025 with minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Candidates with 150 credit hours at graduation preferred
  • Candidates interested in studying/preparing for CPA exam preferred
  • Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Master’s of Science Degree in Accounting is a plus
  • Strong compliance and accounting skills
  • Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills
  • Solid interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a high-energy environment
  • Leadership ability with a positive team player attitude
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer

Nice to have

  • Master’s of Science Degree in Accounting
  • Candidates with 150 credit hours at graduation
