Job Description:

Responsible for the safe and appropriate set up, installation, operation, testing, troubleshooting and teardown of audio and video equipment for live events, including projectors, microphones, speakers, cameras and lighting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Communicates with clients to understand technical needs
  • Coordinates delivery and setup of audiovisual (AV) needs for events and classes
  • Operates AV equipment
  • Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues that may arise during the event
  • Performs routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed
  • Ensures equipment is not damaged during use and is returned to its proper storage locations
  • Acts as a resource for students and staff to address questions or issues
  • Assists with developing detailed and consistent documentation for department processes and policies
  • Assists department with basic clerical work, including scheduling, organization, training and other related tasks.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma and 1 year of experience providing audiovisual support in classrooms or similar environment or for live events required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic proficiency in modern computer programs (Microsoft Office, Google Apps, etc.) required
  • Strong problem-solving skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively required
  • Must have a reliable cell phone for occasional calls or text messages during events.
