Job Description

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Audio Visual Technician to join our team in Mason, MI. This role is best suited for someone with existing AV experience who can assist with installing, configuring, servicing, and troubleshooting residential and commercial AV systems. The Audio Visual Technician will work on systems such as video conferencing setups, displays, projectors, lighting control, distributed audio, conferencing systems, and automation platforms in both residential and commercial environments. Responsibilities include equipment installation, cable management, rack building, device configuration, system testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer walkthroughs. Some travel and occasional overnight stays may be required depending on project location and scheduling.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with AV systems, including installation, configuration, service, and maintenance
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose technical issues in the field
  • Familiarity with video conferencing systems, displays, projectors, audio systems, and lighting control
  • Experience with low-voltage wiring standards and installation practices
  • Ability to read and follow scopes of work, system drawings, and installation instructions
  • Strong communication skills when working with customers and team members
  • Good time management, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work on ladders, lift equipment, use power tools, and perform physical installation tasks
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice to have

  • Experience with automation and control systems such as Control4, Crestron, and Biamp
  • Existing Control4, Crestron, Biamp, or other AV manufacturer certifications
  • Networking knowledge, including basic switch and wireless configuration
  • Experience with conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms
  • Technical certifications in AV, networking, or related fields are a plus
