Job Description:

As the Audio Visual Systems Estimator working at our corporate headquarters in St. Petersburg, Fla. you’ll have the unique opportunity to work directly with our vendors, business development team and design teams to produce accurate bid packages for audio visual and networking systems. This is a critical role in our low voltage systems division and is positioned for exponential growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the estimating process from beginning to end, including timelines, deadlines and estimating packages
  • Communicate with vendors and clients to build relationships, define the project scope, address any deficiencies and negotiate pricing
  • Research quotes for material and labor from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Continuously follow up on all bid projects and accurately forecast future awards
  • Partner with construction project management team to properly transfer awarded projects
  • Stay up-to-date with current technology trends in networking and audiovisual systems

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in audio visual integration projects
  • 2 or more years of technical audio visual estimating experience
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial audio visual and networking technologies
  • Demonstrated ability interpreting construction documents and bid proposals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and estimating software (D-Tools preferred)
  • Ability to maintain excellent relationships and provide a high level of customer service

  • Work with Creative Technologists to identify potential AV solutions and facilitate research and testing to finalize hardware specifications
  • Review exhibit design drawings, and communicate with exhibit designers to ensure they understand AV hardware requirements and how to integrate AV hardware into their exhibits
  • Provide exhibit designers with drawings and cut sheets to help them understand AV hardware requirements and how to integrate AV equipment into exhibits
  • Assist in communicating infrastructure requirements to architects, including the need for power, data, heat mitigation and physical installation of equipment into architecture
  • Identify shared components of building infrastructure and IT systems to liaise with client-side IT teams and consultants
