Job Description

The Steinberg Conference Center is situated among the historic halls at the Wharton School on the University of Pennsylvania campus. This state-of-the-art facility houses amphitheaters, flat floor classrooms, breakout rooms, and case study rooms, comfortable guest rooms, a gym, an onsite bar closed to the public and gourmet executive dining facilities. Responsible for maintaining and setting up all Audio Visual equipment throughout the location. In addition, the Audio Visual Coordinator III will respond to requests for assistance when problems arise with any piece of AV equipment. Keep abreast of the latest technology in the AV area in order to assure that the location maintains the finest equipment possible.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain and set up all Audio Visual equipment
  • Respond to requests for AV equipment assistance
  • Keep abreast of latest AV technology
  • Provide professional and customer-centric service
  • Ensure all equipment is teach-ready
  • Manage requests for changes or additions in AV equipment
  • Greet instructors and answer questions on AV equipment operation
  • Resolve AV equipment problems
  • Attend daily and weekly meetings
  • Monitor AV equipment condition
  • Recommend new or additional equipment
  • Conduct monthly inventories
  • Conduct training classes on AV equipment
  • Operate as a collaborative team member
  • Assist in production, setup, and execution of events
  • Assist maintenance team with minor maintenance
  • Complete work orders
  • Demonstrate knowledge of facilities and equipment

Requirements

  • 3-5 years Audio Visual experience
  • High School Graduate or GED required
  • Corporate experience preferred
  • Board level & C-Suite level direct support experience including board meetings and public investment calls

Nice to have

  • College Degree and/or AV credentials

  • Allow and enhance the capability of the course developers and the instructors to provide courseware (cognitive and psychomotor or lecture and hands-on) that meets or exceeds the ACC Training Task List (TTL) or Joint requirements along with the ability to repair/replace components, same day, if required, to ensure continuity of training, while keeping associated costs and training lapse times to a minimum
  • Enable the ability to scale to meet increased tasking TPR at multiple locations and classifications without additional engineering or other build considerations
