Job Description

The Audio Electronics Engineer is responsible for supporting the design validation, testing, and production support of audio systems ranging from Bluetooth speakers and wireless subwoofers to high-power Class D amplifiers. The engineer will collaborate closely with the Seattle-based EE lead, local project management and mechanical engineering teams, and international partners across China, Vietnam, and other global sites. This is a hands-on, lab-focused role emphasizing hardware validation, testing, troubleshooting, and collaboration on embedded system design for consumer audio products.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct electrical validation testing on subwoofer amplifiers, Bluetooth speakers, and related systems using Audio Precision test equipment
  • Perform analog, digital, and power circuit analysis and troubleshooting
  • Evaluate and integrate new DSPs, microcontrollers, ADCs/DACs, and other ICs for prototype development
  • Develop and test embedded C/C++ firmware for ARM-based systems (non-RTOS)
  • Support factory engineers in China and Vietnam through design reviews, prototyping, and technical issue resolution
  • Review safety, EMC, and reliability documentation to ensure compliance with international standards
  • Collaborate with mobile app and wireless IC development teams to optimize system performance
  • Create technical test reports, evaluation summaries, and recommendations for design improvement
  • Support customer engineering and marketing teams through all phases of product life—from concept through post-production field issues
  • Identify and qualify component substitutions for obsolete or long-lead parts
  • Maintain familiarity with UL, CE, FCC, and other certification requirements
  • Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences

Requirements

  • BSEE or EET degree required
  • 5–7 years of experience in Bluetooth, analog/digital, power, or audio electronics design
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems
  • Hands-on experience with breadboarding, soldering, and troubleshooting complex electronics
  • Experience using SPICE simulation tools (LTSpice, Microcap, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Class D amplification (20–1000W range)
  • Ability to work with overseas factory teams and communicate effectively across cultures
  • Experience with safety and EMC certification processes
