Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for an Attorney to join an established law firm in Irvine, California. The firm has incredible stability and tenure, with many attorneys and staff having worked together for 10+ years! This is a full-service firm, and attorneys will be given an opportunity to touch on practice areas ranging from construction defect litigation, real estate litigation, business litigation, medical malpractice litigation, personal injury litigation, employment litigation, and transactional services.
Job Responsibility
There is a mix of cases – people will work with partners across the state and work on different sorts of matters
Civil litigation and construction defect will be a large portion
Initially, this attorney will be working more closely with a partner but the expectation is this associate will grow into doing more autonomous case management
Writing – this will take some mentorship and the firm gives it
Discovery, including depositions
Law and motion
Court appearances
Pleadings
Communicating and reporting up to with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel
Attending site inspections
Billable Hour Req. 1800 per year
Requirements
Active license to practice law in California
At least 5 years of experience handling litigation matters in a law firm or comparable legal environment
Demonstrated background in civil litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and court appearances
Experience drafting persuasive motions, briefs, pleadings, and related legal filings
Familiarity with construction law or construction litigation is strongly preferred
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and case priorities in a fast-paced practice
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and legal professionals
