We are seeking a California-barred attorney with a passion for employee advocacy to join this innovative team on a contract-to-hire basis. Job Responsibility:
Manage a caseload of plaintiff-side employment matters, including wage and hour, discrimination, and wrongful termination cases
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, and handle discovery
Participate in depositions, mediations, and court appearances as necessary
Communicate effectively with clients, providing high-quality service and guidance throughout their legal proceedings
Collaborate with a team-oriented group of attorneys and paralegals, contributing to a positive, inclusive culture
Requirements:
Active membership and good standing with the California State Bar
1+ year of employment law experience, preferably on the plaintiff side (wage & hour, discrimination, wrongful termination, FEHA, PAGA, FLSA, etc.)
Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
Proven ability to work independently and in a remote environment
Commitment to upholding the values and culture of a supportive team
