Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled attorney with a strong background in litigation to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position is based in Baltimore, Maryland, and offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic legal environment, focusing on insurance defense and related matters.

Job Responsibility:

Handle litigation cases with a focus on insurance defense, including conducting legal research and case analysis
Draft and file motions, pleadings, and other court documents to support case strategies
Manage discovery processes, including gathering evidence and responding to discovery requests
Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and depositions with professionalism and expertise
Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop effective legal strategies tailored to each case
Provide legal advice and guidance on insurance defense matters to ensure compliance and minimize risks
Maintain accurate and organized case files, ensuring all documentation is complete and up to date
Analyze case law and precedents to strengthen arguments and enhance case outcomes
Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel to facilitate case progression

Requirements:

Must hold a valid attorney license in Maryland or Washington, D.C.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably with a focus on insurance defense
Proficiency in handling discovery processes and drafting motions
Strong knowledge of insurance defense litigation procedures and practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client and court interactions
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Proven track record of success in courtroom representation and legal advocacy
Commitment to professionalism, ethics, and delivering high-quality legal services
