We are looking for a skilled Attorney to join our dynamic litigation defense team in Wayne, Pennsylvania. This role provides the chance to work on diverse and complex cases across several practice areas, offering regular courtroom exposure and hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong legal acumen, and effectively manage multiple responsibilities.
Job Responsibility:
Represent private and commercial clients in premises liability cases, including claims related to property conditions and inadequate security
Handle auto and trucking defense cases, addressing accident claims, arbitration, and litigation involving pedestrians, rental vehicles, and public transit
Manage construction litigation matters such as construction defects, breach of contract, indemnity issues, and accident-related injury claims
Defend insureds and self-insured entities in general liability cases, including defamation, dog bites, assault, and transportation-related claims
Conduct coverage analysis and draft reservation of rights letters for insurance law disputes, including bad faith and indemnification matters
Advocate for insurance carriers in bad faith actions, addressing statutory and common law claims
Lead subrogation efforts, from initial investigation through negotiation and litigation to maximize recovery
Defend establishments in dram shop and liquor liability cases, addressing claims involving alcohol service and related incidents
Handle commercial litigation cases, including breach of contract disputes, restrictive covenants, and franchise agreements
Prepare for and attend court appearances, hearings, and depositions as required
Requirements:
Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation with a focus on insurance defense and related practice areas
Proven expertise in legal research, drafting motions, and briefing
Familiarity with discovery processes and deposition procedures
Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while meeting strict deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
Knowledge in various litigation areas including premises liability, subrogation, construction litigation, and auto general liability claims
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail
Nice to have:
Admission to the New Jersey Bar is a plus
