We are looking for an experienced Attorney specializing in land use litigation to join our team in Frisco, Texas. Job Responsibility:
Represent municipalities as lead counsel in defense cases related to land use, civil rights claims, and takings
Pursue injunctive relief for zoning violations and substandard structures
Handle cases in federal courts as well as courts of appeal
Draft and file motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and clarity
Conduct thorough discovery processes to gather evidence and build strong cases
Advise clients on municipal laws, zoning regulations, and land use planning
Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other proceedings as required
Analyze legal issues and provide strategic recommendations to ensure favorable outcomes
Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and achieve client objectives
Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to maintain expertise in the field
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation
Active license to practice law in the state of Texas
Proficiency in drafting legal motions, briefs, and related documents
Solid understanding of municipal laws, zoning, and land use regulations
Experience with court appearances, including federal and appellate levels
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
