Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Attorney to join our team on a contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have strong legal expertise and a proven ability to manage cases effectively while adhering to deadlines. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and draft motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and transactional documents with precision and accuracy
Oversee case assignments and ensure all litigation deadlines are met
Collaborate with local counsel to develop and implement effective case strategies
Maintain consistent and thorough communication with clients and team members
Record daily billing entries accurately and in a timely manner
Foster a positive and collaborative environment within the legal team
Apply expertise in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, finance, or related areas to handle complex cases

Requirements:

Hold a valid license to practice law
Possess 3-15 years of experience in the legal field
Demonstrate strong writing and analytical capabilities
Exhibit excellent organizational and time-management skills
Maintain disciplined and consistent billing practices
Work independently while contributing to team collaboration

Nice to have:

Previous experience in commercial litigation, finance, or bankruptcy is preferred
