We are looking for an experienced Attorney with a strong background in probate law to join our team in Glenview, Illinois. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to work on both contested and uncontested probate cases, providing strategic legal support to clients while collaborating with an exceptional paralegal team. The role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, thrives on handling complex cases, and delivers expert guidance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Represent clients in both contested and uncontested probate cases, ensuring their interests are effectively advocated
  • Develop case strategies and theories to guide legal proceedings and achieve favorable outcomes
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and provide expert legal advice
  • Collaborate with a skilled paralegal team to streamline administrative tasks and focus on case strategy
  • Handle a manageable caseload of 1-4 probate cases per month, focusing on delivering quality outcomes
  • Work on complex legal matters that require advanced expertise beyond entry-level attorneys
  • Ensure compliance with local court procedures in Cook and Lake counties
  • Maintain high standards and deliver exceptional service while adhering to legal best practices

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed attorney with active credentials
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in probate law
  • Strong knowledge of Cook and Lake county court systems and procedures
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal cases with strategic insight
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and case management
  • Ability to work collaboratively with paralegals and other legal professionals
  • Local to Illinois, with availability for occasional in-person requirements if needed
