Job Description

Robert Half is seeking a full‑time Attorney to join a growing legal team based in Naperville, Illinois. This role focuses on both litigation and transactional matters supporting condominium and homeowner associations and offers the opportunity to play a meaningful role in community association law. The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation and trial experience, particularly within Cook County, and the ability to manage matters independently.

Job Responsibility

  • Handle litigation matters related to condominium and homeowner associations, including court appearances, depositions, and trial preparation
  • Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery responses
  • Represent and advocate for community associations, property managers, and insurers
  • Manage cases from inception through resolution with minimal supervision
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and arguments
  • Collaborate directly with clients to understand objectives and deliver practical legal solutions
  • Appear in Cook County courts and demonstrate strong written and oral advocacy skills
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution efforts
  • Apply knowledge of insurance defense litigation practices as appropriate
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience, including trial work
  • Proven ability to handle cases independently from inception to resolution
  • Prior experience in insurance defense is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with litigating cases in Cook County courts
  • Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills
  • Licensed attorney with active membership in the state bar
  • Strong expertise in civil litigation, including drafting motions and conducting discovery

Nice to have

Experience representing community associations, property managers, or insurers is a plus
