Attorney

• Provide legal guidance to nonprofit organizations on matters related to tax-exempt status and compliance
• Draft and review transactional documents, contracts, and organizational policies
• Collaborate with clients to address legal challenges and ensure regulatory adherence
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support client needs and organizational goals
• Represent clients in negotiations and other important interactions
• Assist with litigation matters related to tax exemptions, if applicable
• Develop strategies and solutions for complex legal and tax-related issues
• Offer insights on governance and operational structures for nonprofit organizations
• Maintain knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, ensuring clients remain compliant
• Manage administrative tasks and maintain clear communication with clients

• Admitted to the New York State Bar
• Experience working with tax-exempt organizations is required
• Background in transactional legal work is essential
• Knowledge of tax law or litigation is beneficial
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
• Licensed attorney with a commitment to ethical conduct and integrity
