We are looking for an Attorney to support legal operations and provide counsel on a broad range of matters for an organization based in Nashville, Tennessee. This Long-term Contract position calls for an attorney who can interpret regulations, review agreements, and guide stakeholders through procurement, compliance, and risk-related issues. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to contract oversight, policy development, and special legal projects while working in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility
Provide legal guidance on contracts, procurement activities, and operational matters to support informed business decisions
Review, draft, and revise agreements, amendments, and related documents to ensure accuracy and alignment with applicable laws and internal standards
Advise internal teams on contract compliance, regulatory obligations, and legal risk associated with programs, processes, and vendor relationships
Support procurement functions by evaluating solicitation documents, addressing bid protest issues, and assisting with contract administration matters
Conduct risk assessments and identify potential legal or operational exposures, recommending practical solutions to reduce liability
Contribute to rulemaking, policy interpretation, and procedural reviews to help maintain compliant and effective organizational practices
Assist with grant management and employee benefit plan matters, including legal review of requirements, documentation, and related obligations
Lead or support special projects that require legal analysis, cross-functional coordination, and clear written communication for stakeholders
Requirements
Juris Doctor degree and active license to practice law in Tennessee
Demonstrated experience handling contracts, amendments, compliance reviews, and legal issue analysis in a setting that requires strong attention to detail
Working knowledge of procurement processes, contract administration, and risk management principles
Ability to interpret regulations, procedures, and policy requirements, including matters related to HIPAA-regulated environments when applicable
Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear legal summaries, recommendations, and correspondence
Experience advising clients or internal stakeholders on operational and legal matters with a practical, service-oriented approach
Ability to manage multiple assignments, maintain attention to detail, and support time-sensitive projects effectively
