Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled attorney to join our law firm client's intellectual property team in Washington, District of Columbia. This role involves working with a diverse range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to innovative startups, providing expert legal services. You will also have opportunities to collaborate with other practice groups as needed.

Job Responsibility:

Provide comprehensive legal counsel on intellectual property matters, with a focus on trademark law
Conduct thorough USPTO searches and filings to protect clients' intellectual property rights
Represent clients in trademark-related disputes and proceedings
Collaborate with clients to develop and implement effective intellectual property strategies
Assist other practice groups within the firm on an as-needed basis
Stay up-to-date with changes in intellectual property law and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to intellectual property
Conduct legal research and prepare detailed reports to support client cases
Advise clients on the implications of intellectual property laws on their business operations

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on intellectual property and trademark matters
Strong knowledge of USPTO filing and search procedures
Active membership in good standing with a state bar association
Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities for effective client interactions
Commitment to staying current with developments in intellectual property law
