Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Attorney to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for a licensed legal expert with expertise in financial services compliance and consumer law. Based in Colleyville, Texas, this remote position offers the opportunity to shape legal and compliance strategies for a growing organization.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies in alignment with federal and state regulations
provide expert legal advice on consumer lending and leasing practices
draft, review, and negotiate contracts, disclosures, and other legal documents
monitor changes in regulatory requirements and ensure the organization remains compliant
conduct training sessions and create documentation to support internal teams on legal and compliance matters
assist with civil litigation tasks, including drafting motions, briefing, and discovery
collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve legal issues effectively
establish a solid legal foundation by creating and maintaining regulatory policies and procedures
ensure all financial operations meet consumer lending laws and industry standards
serve as a key resource for regulatory compliance and legal contract matters

Requirements:

Must hold a current attorney license in at least one U.S. state
a minimum of 5 years of experience in legal and compliance roles within the financial services sector
strong expertise in consumer lending regulations and practices
proven ability to draft and review legal contracts and regulatory documents
experience with civil litigation processes, including briefing and discovery
excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse teams
familiarity with financial regulations and compliance frameworks
