Robert Half is seeking experienced Attorneys to support a large public-sector education organization's labor relations and collective bargaining operations. This is a long-term, fully remote engagement focused on administrative labor matters, not traditional courtroom litigation. You'll work closely with an established labor relations team handling grievance proceedings, arbitration preparation, and employment-related appeals in a highly structured and professional environment. This role is ideal for attorneys with backgrounds in labor law, administrative proceedings, or comparable legal work who are looking for steady, meaningful contract work with a respected organization.
Job Responsibility:
Review collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), internal policies, and arbitration decisions
research labor-related grievances and contractual claims
draft written materials such as case summaries and internal memoranda, employer position statements, witness outlines and correspondence
participate in pre-arbitration grievance conferences as an employer representative or hearing officer
draft grievance conference decisions and supporting documentation
assist with appeals involving employment terminations or performance ratings
prepare reports, recommendations, and submission materials
represent the client in arbitration hearings
conduct legal research related to labor and administrative matters
use Zoom and Microsoft Teams to participate in hearings and meetings
use Adobe Acrobat to organize exhibits and hearing documents
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
3+ years of legal experience preferred
experience with labor relations, collective bargaining, administrative proceedings, or similar legal work strongly preferred
familiarity with teacher negotiations, employee discipline, or dispute resolution is a plus
admission to any US license jurisdiction is required
strong writing, research, and organizational skills
ability to work independently while following defined processes and supervision
