Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Attorney to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will specialize in commercial real estate and transactional law, bringing expertise to handling complex real estate matters. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with partners on high-level transactions and contribute to impactful projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support partners in managing diverse commercial real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, and leases
  • Draft detailed provisions for legal documents such as limited liability company agreements, leases, and mortgage loans
  • Conduct thorough due diligence to ensure compliance and assess risks effectively
  • Collaborate with clients and opposing counsel to facilitate smooth communication throughout the transaction process
  • Organize and manage closing procedures, including preparing closing documents and securing necessary signatures
  • Provide expertise on real estate finance and commercial transactions to ensure successful outcomes
  • Analyze complex legal issues related to real estate and offer strategic solutions
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout all stages of the transaction

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in transactional law with a focus on commercial real estate
  • Proven experience handling commercial transactions, including real estate finance
  • Strong drafting skills for legal agreements and provisions
  • Ability to perform meticulous due diligence and risk analysis
  • Familiarity with managing closing logistics and documentation
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and opposing counsel
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois
