Job Description:

Attorney opportunity in Pasadena, California at growing plaintiff's employment law practice. This plaintiff firm has protected employees for a decade and is looking for a new attorney to join its team. This attorney will be managing a caseload with supervision from the firm's principal and senior attorney.

Job Responsibility:

Handle a caseload of approximately 25-30 matters, managing cases from initiation through trial
Conduct discovery processes, including defending depositions early in the role
Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
Represent clients during court appearances and hearings
Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and address concerns
Engage with opposing counsel to negotiate and resolve disputes
Participate in strategic planning and case preparation to ensure successful outcomes
Collaborate closely with team members to foster a supportive work environment
Maintain adherence to firm policies while delivering high-quality legal services

Requirements:

Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in civil litigation
Familiarity with plaintiff employment law is highly desirable
Strong discovery and deposition skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting
Active license to practice law in California
Proximity to Pasadena, California for a manageable commute
