Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Attorney with a strong background in construction law to join our team in Vienna, Virginia. This role requires a dedicated detail oriented individual who can manage litigation processes, handle complex legal matters, and provide strategic solutions to clients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment that emphasizes mentorship and detail oriented development.

Job Responsibility:

  • Represent clients in construction-related disputes, including breach of contract, construction fraud, and both commercial and residential construction matters
  • Develop strategies to prevent construction disputes and ensure legal compliance for clients
  • Manage litigation cases in General District and Circuit Courts, preparing legal documents and presenting arguments effectively
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and client advisement
  • Collaborate with partners and colleagues to create innovative solutions for complex legal challenges
  • Maintain strong communication with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal guidance
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in construction law and industry trends to deliver informed counsel
  • Assist in mentoring entry-level staff and contributing to a positive office culture
  • Participate in negotiations and mediations to resolve disputes efficiently
  • Uphold the firm's commitment to excellence and client satisfaction through detail oriented and ethical practices

Requirements:

  • Active Virginia law license
  • At least 3 years of litigation experience, specifically with construction and contract disputes
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience with court appearances and civil litigation processes
  • Commitment to teamwork, mentorship, and maintaining a positive work environment
