Our client, a successful title & escrow company, is seeking an Attorney to join their dynamic legal team in West Warwick, Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in real estate law and a strong drive to expand the firm's business through exceptional client relations. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to both commercial and residential real estate matters.
Job Responsibility:
Focus on getting new business for the company
Provide expert legal counsel on a wide range of real estate matters, including residential, commercial, SFR, and bulk transactions
Develop and maintain a strong book of business through proactive business development efforts, networking, and marketing initiatives
Manage real estate transactions from inception to closing, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all necessary legal documentation
Represent clients in negotiations, disputes, and mediations, safeguarding their interests and providing strategic guidance
Collaborate with internal teams and other departments to deliver integrated legal services to clients
Stay current with legal developments and trends in real estate law, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and client satisfaction
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing real estate law, with a proven track record of managing a book of business or a strong willingness and ability to engage in business development activities
Commercial and residential experience, one or both
Must be barred in Rhode Island or MA or CT, MA/CT are a benefit – can get waived in later after hire
J.D. from an accredited law school and a member in good standing with the Rhode Island Bar. Other State Bar admissions are a plus
Extensive knowledge of real estate transactions, property law, contracts, and finance, with excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships and work collaboratively with internal teams
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting client needs

Prefer a book of business, but need to want to grow a business
