Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Attorney with at least five years of experience to join a respected law firm in Detroit, Michigan. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic litigation practice, specializing in municipal law and employment litigation while delivering exceptional client service.

Job Responsibility:

Represent municipalities and governmental entities in complex litigation cases, including employment disputes and municipal law matters
Provide expert legal counsel to municipalities, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations
Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation, with a strategic focus on achieving client goals
Draft persuasive legal documents, motions, and briefs to support case strategies
Advocate for clients in court by presenting compelling arguments and leveraging strong trial skills
Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver comprehensive solutions and foster team cohesion
Develop innovative legal strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs and objectives
Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, building trust and strong working relationships

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on municipal law and employment litigation
Active attorney license in good standing
Proven ability to draft high-quality legal motions, briefs, and other documents
Strong knowledge of municipal laws, employment law, and employment litigation processes
Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and courtroom advocacy
Confidence in handling all stages of litigation, including depositions and trials
Commitment to providing outstanding client service and achieving favorable outcomes
