Attorney

• Advise clients on compliance with municipal laws, including the Brown Act, Conflicts of Interest, and Public Records Act
• Draft and review contracts related to construction and other regulated industries, ensuring adherence to legal standards
• Represent clients in litigation matters, particularly those involving construction law and contracting disputes
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare persuasive written arguments and oral presentations
• Collaborate with clients to build trust and instill confidence in the legal counsel provided
• Work independently to manage multiple cases while maintaining high-quality legal output
• Provide guidance on open government practices and regulations to ensure transparency
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and expertise

• A minimum of 3 years of experience practicing general municipal law
• Proven expertise in open government laws, including the Brown Act and Public Records Act
• Familiarity with construction law and contracting processes is highly desirable
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Demonstrated experience in litigation and transactional legal matters
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client confidence
