Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Attorney specializing in commercial litigation to join our team in Houston, Texas. This position is suited for professionals with 2–5 years of commercial litigation experience who are eager to handle complex cases and provide exceptional legal representation. You will have the opportunity to contribute to high-stakes business litigation matters across various industries and forums, working alongside experienced attorneys.

Job Responsibility:

  • Handle a diverse range of commercial litigation cases, including contract disputes, tort claims, fiduciary duty issues, and trade-related matters
  • Draft and respond to legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests
  • Engage in all stages of litigation, including case assessment, strategy development, depositions, hearings, and alternative dispute resolution
  • Prepare for and participate in trial proceedings, including crafting jury instructions, preparing witnesses, and organizing trial exhibits
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop strategic approaches tailored to client needs
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and stay updated on relevant procedural rules and case law
  • Provide clear and concise communication to clients regarding case progress and legal strategies
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and priorities are balanced
  • Participate in appellate proceedings when necessary, including drafting briefs and oral arguments

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution and licensure to practice law in the state of Texas
  • 2–5 years of litigation defense experience, preferably in commercial or business litigation
  • Proven ability to handle litigation matters independently with strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in drafting motions, briefs, and discovery requests with attention to detail
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Familiarity with civil procedure and litigation processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
