Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity to an Attorney specializing in Litigation, Plaintiff, based in Saint Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will be handling complex litigation cases, primarily focusing on asbestos litigation. You will be responsible for all aspects of case management, including investigation, discovery management, deposition handling, document review, drafting and arguing motions, and trial preparation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage case investigations meticulously, ensuring all relevant data is collected and analyzed
  • Handle the discovery process efficiently, coordinating with all involved parties to gather necessary information
  • Conduct and defend depositions, ensuring all pertinent facts are accurately presented
  • Review documents related to cases, ensuring all information is accurate and relevant
  • Draft and argue motions with precision and effectiveness
  • Prepare cases for trial, ensuring all necessary steps are taken for successful case presentation
  • Develop a thorough understanding of asbestos exposure sources and basic medical terminology associated with mesothelioma
  • Act as a second or third chair during trials, with the potential for first chair trials after gaining sufficient experience
  • Communicate effectively with clients, offering empathy and building rapport with individuals from varied backgrounds
  • Utilize case management software, document management tools, and attorney billing software proficiently

Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in Case Management Software
  • Must have strong skills in Document Management
  • Should be experienced in Briefing
  • Should have a background in Civil Litigation
  • Must be capable of Defending Depositions
  • Should have experience in Depositions
  • Must be able to Draft Motions
  • Should be adept in Motion Practice
  • Asbestos Litigation experience is required
  • Must have Civil Litigation Experience
  • Should have experience in Complex Litigation
  • Must have specialization in Litigation - Plaintiff
  • Should be proficient in Billing Software for Attorneys
  • Must be a Licensed Attorney
  • Should have experience as a Litigation Attorney
