Job Description

We are looking for an Attorney/Lawyer to join a litigation practice in Dallas, Texas, where you will take an active role in contested matters from early case assessment through trial preparation. This position is well suited for a developing attorney who wants meaningful courtroom exposure, substantive case ownership, and the chance to sharpen advocacy skills in a collaborative legal environment. The role offers broad involvement in motion practice, discovery, client communication, and strategic case planning across a varied litigation docket.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare persuasive motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documents that support case objectives and procedural requirements
  • Oversee assigned matters throughout each stage of litigation, including filings, discovery, case development, and trial readiness
  • Take part in depositions by preparing witnesses, conducting questioning, defending testimony, and helping shape discovery plans
  • Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and related proceedings while advocating effectively on behalf of clients
  • Research legal authorities, evaluate facts, and translate findings into practical recommendations that inform litigation strategy
  • Work closely with fellow attorneys and legal support professionals to coordinate deadlines, refine arguments, and advance matters efficiently
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties involved in ongoing cases

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of litigation experience in an associate-level legal role
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Texas with membership in good standing
  • Demonstrated ability to draft legal motions, pleadings, and briefs with clarity and precision
  • Familiarity with depositions, court appearances, discovery processes, and general litigation procedure
  • Strong analytical judgment and the ability to assess legal issues, case posture, and potential risk
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple matters in a deadline-driven practice
  • Experience in areas such as civil litigation, personal injury, construction-related disputes, commercial litigation, or arbitration is valued
