We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to join a respected workers’ compensation defense practice in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Job Responsibility:
Oversee a docket of workers’ compensation defense matters from initial assignment through final resolution, including negotiated outcomes and hearings.
Represent clients at workers’ compensation proceedings in assigned jurisdictions, appearing in person or through virtual platforms as needed.
Draft, review, and submit motions, pleadings, briefs, and related legal filings in a timely and accurate manner.
Communicate case developments, hearing results, and strategic recommendations to clients with consistency and care.
Coordinate case activity across several venues while maintaining organized files, deadlines, and litigation priorities.
Work closely with support staff to move matters forward efficiently and deliver responsive service to clients
Requirements:
At least 3 years of legal experience, preferably in litigation-oriented practice.
Background in workers’ compensation matters is preferred
candidates with related experience and a strong interest in this area may also be considered.
Active attorney license and ability to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.
Demonstrated ability to manage a busy caseload with limited day-to-day supervision.
Strong legal writing skills, including experience preparing motions, briefs, and other formal case documents.
Solid verbal communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain developments clearly and professionally.
Willingness to travel to court venues when required.
Experience with civil litigation procedures, discovery, and case strategy development is highly valued.
