Job Responsibility
Provide legal counsel across a mix of corporate, commercial, regulatory, and dispute-related matters affecting the business
Evaluate incoming legal issues, determine urgency, and direct attention toward the most critical risks and business needs
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents that support ongoing operations and strategic initiatives
Advise internal stakeholders on compliance obligations, governance considerations, and reporting matters within a publicly traded company environment
Collaborate with executives and leaders across departments to deliver clear, business-focused legal recommendations
Help bring structure and direction to an active legal team by guiding workflows, priorities, and day-to-day legal support
Support matters connected to litigation and coordinate with relevant internal and external parties as needed
Assist with legal responsibilities tied to organizational changes or transitions when applicable, ensuring continuity and risk awareness
Requirements
Active bar membership
Previous experience as a General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, or Senior Counsel title
Background handling legal work for telecommunications, technology, or similarly regulated industries
Ability to manage a diverse workload that may include contracts, compliance, litigation support, and corporate governance matters
Confidence interacting with C-suite executives and advising senior decision-makers
Strong prioritization skills with the ability to step into a fast-moving environment and establish order quickly
