We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to support plaintiff-side personal injury and wrongful death matters involving silica and asbestos claims. A nationally recognized plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking an Attorney to join its team in Washington or Oregon, representing individuals and families in high-stakes injury and toxic exposure matters. This position offers the opportunity to handle litigation work from case development through resolution, including client counsel, written advocacy, and courtroom appearances.
Job Responsibility
Manage a litigation caseload from intake through resolution, with increasing autonomy based on experience
Draft and argue motions, handle discovery, and take/defend depositions
Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial
Work directly with clients, experts, and medical professionals to develop case strategy
Contribute to trial preparation and courtroom advocacy
Requirements
Licensed in WA or OR (or eligible for reciprocity)
Litigation experience (plaintiff or defense backgrounds considered)
Experience with discovery, motion practice, and depositions
Interest in building a long-term career on the plaintiff side
Active attorney license in good standing
Demonstrated background in civil litigation, preferably with plaintiff-side asbestos-related matters
Experience drafting motions, briefs, and other substantive legal filings
Working knowledge of discovery practice, including document review and written responses
Ability to take and defend depositions and represent clients effectively in hearings
Strong case management skills with the capacity to handle a demanding workload of 55+ hours per week
Spanish language skills are preferred
Willingness to work remotely while traveling as needed for court appearances and depositions
