Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in probate law and a strategic mindset to handle both contested and uncontested cases. Based in Glenview, Illinois, the position offers the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team of paralegals who manage administrative tasks, allowing you to focus on delivering expert legal counsel.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and oversee probate cases, including both contested and uncontested matters
  • Develop case strategies and theories to effectively represent clients
  • Provide direct client interaction and guidance throughout the legal process
  • Collaborate with a skilled paralegal team to ensure administrative tasks are handled efficiently
  • Handle complex cases requiring advanced expertise and legal acumen
  • Focus on delivering high-quality legal services while delegating administrative work
  • Work on approximately 1-4 cases per month, ensuring thorough attention to detail and strategy
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations in Cook and Lake counties
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and team members to achieve case objectives

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed attorney with active credentials
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in probate law
  • Expertise in handling both contested and uncontested probate cases
  • Familiarity with legal proceedings and regulations in Cook and Lake counties
  • Strong ability to develop case strategies and provide expert guidance
