Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Attorney/Lawyer to join our team on a contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves providing crucial support to attorneys during a staffing gap, contributing to essential legal tasks and case preparation. Job Responsibility:

Draft and review motions to ensure accuracy and alignment with case strategies
Prepare detailed legal briefs that effectively present arguments and support litigation efforts
Conduct comprehensive legal research to provide attorneys with valuable insights and case precedents
Assist in the discovery process, including gathering and organizing relevant documentation
Participate in depositions to support case development and gather critical information
Collaborate closely with attorneys to manage case timelines and deliverables
Analyze legal documents and provide recommendations to enhance case outcomes
Ensure compliance with legal standards and procedural requirements throughout all tasks

Requirements:

Proven experience in civil litigation and legal proceedings
Strong skills in drafting motions and preparing legal briefs
Proficiency in conducting thorough legal research
Familiarity with the discovery process and its requirements
Prior experience supporting depositions and gathering critical case information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice law
