We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to support litigation matters in Texas as part of a Long-term Contract opportunity. This role is suited for a licensed legal specialist who can manage casework with precision, develop persuasive written arguments, and guide employment-related matters through the civil litigation process. Based in Texas, this position offers the chance to contribute across pleadings, discovery, and motion practice while working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Job Responsibility:
Handle civil litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met
Prepare, review, and refine motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal filings with strong attention to detail and legal strategy
Lead discovery activities by drafting requests and responses, evaluating produced materials, and identifying key case evidence
Conduct legal research and translate findings into clear, well-supported arguments for written submissions and case planning
Advise on employment law issues, including matters involving wage and hour considerations under FLSA guidelines
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external counsel, clients, and court personnel to keep matters progressing efficiently
Support hearings, depositions, and other litigation events by organizing case materials and developing relevant legal positions
Requirements:
Active attorney license in good standing with a recognized Bar Association
Demonstrated experience handling civil litigation matters in a legal setting that requires strong attention to detail
Strong ability to draft motions, briefs, and other persuasive legal documents
Practical knowledge of discovery processes, including document review and written responses
Background in employment law, with familiarity addressing FLSA-related issues
Excellent legal research, analytical reasoning, and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple matters independently while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
