Job Description:

Seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join a growing firm in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of litigation experience, with a preference for exposure to complex litigation matters. This role requires a proactive, organized attorney who can manage a varied caseload and collaborate effectively with both colleagues and clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage all phases of litigation, from initial case intake through trial and resolution
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Engage in discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories
  • Utilize case management software and technology to streamline workflows and ensure efficient case handling
  • Maintain high standards of data integrity and confidentiality while managing case files
  • Collaborate with lead attorneys to deliver reliable and high-quality legal work product
  • Navigate multiple deadlines and projects in a fast-paced litigation environment
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, staff, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Take on increasing levels of responsibility to grow as a litigator
  • Stay informed about legal developments relevant to personal injury and mass tort litigation

Requirements:

  • License to practice law in Ohio
  • 4+ years of litigation experience, with a preference for exposure to complex litigation
  • Demonstrate exceptional legal research, writing, and communication skills
  • Show proficiency in civil litigation processes, including discovery and trial preparation
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume docket
  • Display familiarity with case management software and technology tools
  • Work effectively both independently and within a team dynamic
  • Maintain professionalism and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with clients, colleagues, and court personnel
