Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to provide immediate legal support on a fully remote, ongoing contract engagement based in Sacramento, California. This role is suited for a licensed attorney with a strong background in civil litigation, who can contribute 20-40 hours per week. The role will focus heavily on law and motion work, particularly within breach of contract cases, with construction-related exposure being a plus.

Job Responsibility

  • Draft and argue law and motion (demurrers, motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, etc.)
  • Handle breach of contract matters, including analysis, strategy, and motion practice
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda in support of filings
  • Collaborate with attorneys on case progression and deadlines
  • Provide general support across civil litigation matters as needed

Requirements

  • Active California Bar membership (in good standing)
  • Strong law and motion experience within civil litigation
  • Experience handling breach of contract matters (construction litigation a plus)
  • Prior California-based legal experience required
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage a flexible, ongoing workload
