Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in Calabasas, California or in a remote capacity. This position focuses on labor and employment law defense and involves a variety of litigation tasks, including mediation preparation and drafting legal documents. As a contract-to-permanent opportunity, this role offers the potential for long-term collaboration with a dynamic and growing firm.

Job Responsibility

  • Defend employers in PAGA and wage & hour class action litigation
  • Draft mediation briefs, deposition outlines, motions, and discovery responses
  • Handle litigation from pre-suit through resolution
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to employer clients on compliance, risk mitigation, and employment policies
  • Manage a fast-paced, litigation-heavy caseload where no two days are the same

Requirements

  • Active California Bar membership (required)
  • Significant experience defending employers in PAGA and wage & hour class actions
  • Strong background in California labor & employment law
  • Proven litigation skills, including motion practice and discovery
  • Experience with advice-and-counsel work strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Clio or similar case management systems a plus
