Job Responsibility:
Deliver engaging lectures and course content to undergraduate and graduate students on topics such as structural geology, micrometeorology, and atmospheric thermodynamics
Maintain precise student attendance, grades, and academic records in accordance with institutional policies
Evaluate and grade student assignments, exams, laboratory work, and field activities
Compile, administer, and grade examinations or delegate grading tasks as appropriate
Supervise and guide students through laboratory and field research projects, fostering scientific inquiry and practical skills
Leverage advanced software and learning management systems to facilitate online instruction, collaboration, and resource sharing
Contribute to the development of AI-driven educational resources and tools by providing subject matter expertise and feedback
Requirements:
Proficiency with Ansys Fluent, The MathWorks MatLab, WaveMetrics IGOR Pro, Wolfram Research Mathematica, and ESRI ArcGIS/ArcInfo for scientific computing and data visualization
Experience using Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Corel CorelDraw Graphics Suite, and Golden Software Voxler for scientific communication and presentation
Familiarity with Blackboard, Desire2Learn, Sakai CLE, and other leading LMS platforms to administer and enhance virtual learning environments
Demonstrated excellence in both written and verbal communication for effective instruction and collaboration
Strong capability in collaborative editing software, Google Docs, and Microsoft Word for digital content creation and teamwork
Ability to design and implement laboratory and field-based learning experiences
Meticulous record-keeping, organization, and evaluation skills
Experience: 2+ years
Nice to have:
Prior experience training AI or developing digital educational tools
History of remote postsecondary teaching in atmospheric, earth, marine, or space sciences
Advanced degree (PhD or equivalent) in a relevant science discipline
