The Atlassian (Jira) & Identity Tools Administrator is a key member of the SRE organization responsible for the configuration, administration, governance, and optimization of enterprise platforms including Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Auth0, and additional DevOps and productivity tools. This role ensures these platforms operate reliably, securely, and efficiently while supporting the organization’s Agile, DevOps, identity governance, and modernization initiatives. The administrator will partner closely with SRE, Development, Product, Security, and Infrastructure teams to streamline workflows, enhance identity and access governance, and deliver tool capabilities that improve operational performance and velocity. This is a role with opportunities to grow into senior and lead responsibilities as our tooling ecosystem evolves.
Job Responsibility:
Administer and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence in a governed enterprise environment
Design and implement workflows, screens, fields, automation rules, SLAs, permissions, and service catalogs
Support Agile, Scrum, and SAFe frameworks (boards, templates, release trains)
Optimize system performance, archive unused content, and maintain configuration consistency
Develop dashboards and reporting for engineering, product management, and leadership
Manage integrations with tools such as GitHub, Slack, Port.io, Opsgenie, and CI/CD platforms
Administer Auth0 tenants including applications, APIs, rules, actions, hooks, and security policies
Configure SSO/SAML/OIDC/OAuth2 authentication and authorization flows
Implement and manage MFA, identity governance workflows, and privileged access patterns
Monitor logs and anomalies, partner with Security on incident review and remediation
Support onboarding new applications to Auth0 and identity lifecycle improvements
Administer and govern enterprise tools such as Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins/CI tools, monitoring systems, Port.io, Slack integrations, and access management utilities
Manage role-based access, provisioning/deprovisioning, and adherence to security and compliance standards
Evaluate and onboard new tool integrations to improve automation, collaboration, and engineering productivity
Maintain documentation, runbooks, version upgrades, and configuration baselines
Serve as subject matter expert for Atlassian tools, Auth0, and related enterprise platforms
Provide Tier 2/3 support for tool issues, workflow configuration, and access investigations
Support audits, identity access reviews, and compliance requirements
Participate in change management activities and ensure governance around tool usage
Lead optimization initiatives including tool consolidation, license rationalization, and workflow automation
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3–6 years of experience administering Jira, Confluence, and/or JSM in an enterprise environment
Hands-on experience with Auth0, SSO, SAML, OIDC, OAuth2, and MFA configuration
Strong understanding of IAM concepts, identity lifecycle, and access governance
Proficiency with Jira workflow configuration, automations, permission schemes, and role management
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices
Experience with scripting or automation using JavaScript, Python, or JSON-based rule authoring
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
Nice to have:
Atlassian ACP certification (Admin or Jira Service Management)
Auth0 certification or equivalent IAM training
Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, GitHub administration, or enterprise DevOps tools
Experience with Okta, Azure AD, or Workday-based identity lifecycle systems
Exposure to environment management, SDLC workflows, or SRE practices
Prior involvement in tool consolidation or modernization initiatives
